Elisa Gray

Elisa has been performing since childhood. She appeared in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and the Snow Queen with the Actor’s theatre, Richmond,  Park Action 1, 2 and 3, with the National Theatre, St Kilda, Witness for the Prosecution, The Suicide, Yentl, Falsettos and Lost in Yonkers for Saltpillar Theatre and The Women, and A Chorus of Disapproval for the Trak players. She performed with Barrie Kosky’s GILGUL THEATRE in The Dybbuk, Es Brent and The Wilderness Room in Melbourne, Sydney and Canberra. Elisa has also appeared in various productions for the Melbourne Yiddish Theatre, including Fiddler on the Roof.


Elisa has also performed as a singer for Crow’s bar cabaret and has loved singing Yiddish songs in various Yiddish concerts and cabarets all around Melbourne. She has appeared on television in Kath and Kim and MDA and in the films Chasing Parked Cars and The Trojan Warrior. Elisa has done voiceover work for CD Rom games.


Elisa , along with Tomi Kalinski and Evelyn Krape have formed a group called Zaftik and have created a theatre piece, Ek Velt which they performed to great acclaim at the 2011 Montreal International Yiddish theatre festival.
